HughesNet Customer Account and Email Setup

HughesNet Customer Account

This account is used to access your billing information, configure E-mail accounts, and change the email address Hughesnet uses to contact you for billing issues. The username and password created for this account is NOT the information you use when configuring your email. That information is created after you login to your account and then choose to configure E-mail.


To create your HughesNet customer account, select the system you own.

Older systems

You will be asked to enter your Site ID Number, Serial Number and Site Account Number (SAN). If your installer did not provide this information, follow the intructions provided on the page to locate the requried information.


Once you account has been established you can Login to your Account.


HughesNet Email Setup


Once you login to your account, you can select to setup E-mail.

You will be asked to enter an email address which will also serve as your email username. The password you select will serve as the password that email address only.


Hughesnet offers HTML (web site) based Web Mail or you can use your own e-mail client. If you use Outlook 2002, 2003, Outlook express 6, or Incredimail XE Hughesnet offers a FREE Email Configuration Tool. You will have to have JAVA installed on your computer. Go here it install JAVA.

Once the configuration is complete, you can use your E-Mail program to send and receive E-mails.

IMPORTANT: To avoid having your Email box fill up, you need to verify that your program will delete the E-mail from the server after the Emails are downloaded to you computer.


For Outlook express go to Tools>Accounts and select the HughesNet Email account. Click on Properties and select the Advance Tab. Verify that the "Leave a copy of the messages on the server" box is uncheck.
